Amazing for the Price

So far so good no complaints what so ever!! Internal & external Microphone work great. I ordered a separate battery charger cause it didn't come with one, and so far I'm happy. How long will it last? I'll have to wait & see!

Great camera for the money

Good Value, but some basics overlooked

This compact value camera is a sensible purchase for those getting into the action-footage genre as well as for those who want to take decent vacation footage; including snorkelling and poolside excursions.

The external mic is a nice feature, albeit a low gain one - but it is better than the internal mic and better than even the high-end internal mics on most action cameras.

The accessories are plentiful, but to be honest most are not essential by any means. It's basically a bunch of specialized plastic that has little use other than specific uses. I don't even know what three-quarters of them are for, despite the comprehensive and well-plotted manual.

The fact that it doubles as a webcam is an added bonus, but one of those pieces of included plastic perhaps could have been better served as a monitor mount. An adjustable tripod would also be nice.

The anti-shake (EIS) doesn't work in "4K", but works surprisingly well (for the price) in 1080p, and this quality is more than good enough for most footage. Don't buy into the 4K 60 hype, especially if you're considering a budget camera for hobbyist memories.

Pros:
- easy to navigate with a bit of random button pushing to figure it out
- plug and play for transferring footage to a Mac (not sure about PC)
- compact and "bang-for-your-buck"

Cons:
- atrocious battery compartment access - have two hands and a small screwdriver ready; and coins for the swear jar
- no battery charger or SD card included

Great little camera for the money

This is my second Apeman A79, I find them great little sport cameras for the price. They perform well and I use them for both capturing video at work and attaching to my motorcycle when out riding. Great cheaper alternative to the GoPro.
